The health ministries/parish nursing unit of Province V is coordinated by Maryfran Crist of the Diocese of Chicago.

This Ministry Network seeks to provide resources, education and support for those developing and those engaged in health ministry/parish nursing in Province V in order that congregations may be caring places of health and wholeness. To assist congregations in responding to General Convention resolution A077 (2009).

 AO77: Resolved...that 76th General Convention urges the congregations of the Episcopal Church which have not already done so, to explore and implement health ministry as an organizing concept or vital component of outreach and pastoral care of the congregations by 2012; and be it further resolved that the General Convention encourages congregations to raise awareness of health ministries and promote the understanding that health includes body, mind and spirit.
